Abstract Les Robinette began his career with Fish and Wildlife Services (FWS) in 1943, and was there until 1953. From 1947-1953, he primarily worked on a study in Utah concerning the competition between big game and livestock on public lands. Weldon Robinson reminisces about his career as a wildlife research biologist working for the U.S. Forest Service, Biological Survey, Denver Wildlife Research Center (DWRC), and USDA's, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services. He discusses his work in wildlife damage control where he worked to control coyotes and rats by using trapping and toxicants.
