Series III consists of two boxes of records relating to rat barriers and rodent repellents, including studies, reports and correspondence. All of the research represented in this series was conducted either with or for outside organizations, U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps or private companies.

He reminisces about his experiences as a government trapper in predator control and research (primarily coyotes) and the different methods he used including traps, dogs, and aerial shooting. Thomas talks about his experiences with animals and various Wildlife Services employees.
