Biographical / Historical

Stan L. Thomas was born in Eugene, Orgegon on November 1, 1941. His Grandpa Whitaker introduced him to trapping at the age of 10. After working a variety of jobs including logging and as a hunting guide, Thomas began working for Wildlife Services in 1978. He spent his entire federal career at Oregon field stations, earned his 486 in Wildlife Biology from Oregon State University in 1991, and retired in 2004. A family man and avid outdoorsman, Thomas... included his wife Janice and three children in his work. Thomas is married to his second wife Karen and lives in Portland, Oregon.
