Abstract
Established in 1895, the Hawaiian Sugar Planters' Association shares a long and collaborative history with federal wildlife control agencies working to control damage caused by rodents in Hawaiian sugarcane fields. The NWRC Hilo Field Station was established to further this purpose and continues to offer wildlife research assistance in Hawaii today.
