Bibliography
On February 15, 2021, freezing temperatures caused the NWRC’s Wildlife Science Building (WSB) to undergo a severe flooding event. Burst water pipes filled the building’s basement with approximately 10 feet of water – submerging its boilers, transformers, and chillers, and resulted in power outages throughout the building. Work to repair the damage began immediately and continued throughout the year, although many repairs were delayed due to supply chain issues caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Generators powered critical equipment in the building during the extended power outage. By February 2022, the WSB was fully operational again.
