Abstract
Nancy Freeman compiled project folders of research to assist with the retiree oral histories. As several of the retirees were older and had been retired for thirty plus years, Freeman gathered old photographs, organizational charts, and publications to bring to the interviews to assist with recall. After the first interviews were completed, Nancy worked with the transcriptionist and researched other institutions' style guides for how to write transcriptions. Early in the project she had contacted 2 other retirees, Dolores Keller and Vida Thornsberry, who declined to be interviewed, however, Freeman saved her notes from conversations with these women.
