Biographical / Historical

Glynn A. Riley was born in Ennis, Texas on September 1, 1935. He attended three years of college before enlisting in the Texas National Guard where he worked a variety of jobs before beginning work with the Texas Rodent and Predatory Animal Control Service in 1960. Riley trapped for Wildlife Services in Minnesota, Florida, and Texas but was stationed in Texas throughout his career. Riley is married to Patsy and they have one son.

Abstract

Glynn Riley reminisces about his current and past work for Wildlife Services, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). He speaks of his experiences as a government trapper in predator control and research (primarily coyotes and wolves). Riley talks about his experiences with animals, various Wildlife Services, and wildlife conservationists in Minnesota, Florida, and Texas.
