Pocatello Supply Depot

Abstract

George Matschke worked as researcher at the Wildlife Research Center from 1968 until his retirement in 1999. This collection contains records (dated 1955-1999) that were collected by Matschke. Included are administrative records, Bird Unit work reports, research records mostly pertaining to rodent control, as well as numerous images of research projects conducted by Matschke and other scientists at the Center.

Scope and Contents

This collection includes blueprints and images documenting the construction of the 1938 addition to Pocatello Supply Depot (PSD) warehouse, in addition to images depicting general operations at PSD in the 1990s. Also included are annual, financial and other types of reports dating from the 1930s-1970s.

Some items in this collection do not directly pertain to the PSD.

Scope and Contents This collection includes five series and consists of eleven boxes of materials, including documents, slides, photographs, and artifacts that document the history of bird, predator, and rodent control in the state of Idaho from 1915 to 1990. Materials from several federal agencies and programs such as the BBS, WPA, CCC, USFWS, ADC, USDA, USDI, and Wildlife Services are included.
