This series contains bulletins and reports from the Division of Biological Survey (BS) under the USDA, and highlights the work, results, and overall focus of scientists under this agency from the late 1880s through the early 1900s. The Division of Economic Ornithology and Mammalogy became the Division of Biological Survey on July 1, 1896, and remained under this title until 1905.
